The new SFA Parking Garage project began on August 15, 2004 and opened on August 23, 2005.
The new garage contains 379 parking spaces.Until the new Lot 5 Parking Garage opens, employees who are assigned to Lot 3 and Lot 5 may use the new Student Center Parking Garage. Lot 3 and Lot 5 permit parkers may park in any parking space in the Student Center garage except those few spaces marked for visitors or for handicapped parking. As long as Lot 3 and Lot 5 permit parkers need to use the Student Center Parking Garage the access controls will not be activated and the garage will be patrolled like any other lot.
When the new Lot 5 Parking Garage opens, employees assigned to Lot 3 and Lot 5 will begin parking in the Lot 5 Parking Garage.
When construction progress permits, the Student Center Parking Garage access controls will be activated and parking will become pay-per-use.
